A clear creative brief
Describe the use before the look.
A stationary portrait session and a moving commercial production require different arrangements.
For an exotic or luxury car photoshoot request in Orange County, Los Angeles or San Diego, send the model, exact location, schedule and intended use. Include whether the vehicle will be driven, filmed, repositioned or used as a stationary background.
Production access, vehicle use, coverage and the person responsible for the car require explicit approval. A rental listing does not grant unrestricted filming, commercial use or driving permission.
Send the complete brief
What the production request needs.
- Creative use
- Personal portraits, editorial, commercial campaign, social content or another clearly described production.
- Movement
- Stationary positioning, repositioning, road driving or moving footage. Identify the proposed driver.
- Location
- Property address, owner permission, surface, access, parking and any permit requirements.
- Schedule
- Delivery, setup, camera window, wrap and collection, including any backup plan.
- Vehicle handling
- Any proposed equipment, rigging, attachments, props, wardrobe contact or modification. None is assumed approved.
- Requirements
- Responsible party, approved use, coverage, deposit and agreed rental terms in writing.
Protect the schedule
Separate setup from camera time.
Give the complete period during which the production needs the car. Loading in, checking the vehicle and positioning it take time outside the final images. A short camera window is not necessarily the full rental period.
Changes to location, driver, movement or equipment should be agreed before the shoot. Avoid planning a shot around a use that has not been expressly approved for the vehicle.
For private property, check access and permission with the owner. For public locations, determine the applicable filming and parking requirements. Valenza's vehicle confirmation does not replace location permission.
Plan delivery and collectionProduction questions
Before the call sheet.
Can the vehicle be driven during filming?
Only if the driver, movement and production use have been expressly approved in the rental arrangement. Describe the exact filming plan in the first request.
Can equipment or cameras be attached to the car?
Do not attach equipment, rigging, suction mounts, tape or props without specific written approval. Include the proposed setup when requesting the vehicle.
Does the rental include permits or location access?
Do not assume it does. The production needs to establish property permission and any required permits separately, alongside the confirmed vehicle arrangement.
Can you guarantee a model from a reference photo?
Send the reference and, where available, a link to the exact listing. We confirm the actual vehicle, color and specification in writing. A reference or preference is not an inventory guarantee.
Send the production brief.
Include the location, call times and how the car will be used so the vehicle and permissions can be confirmed.
